Site of the day: meebo.
We’re three folks working to bring IM to Web 2.0
Meebo supports the following protocols:
- AIM or ICQ
- Yahoo! Messenger
- Jabber or GTalk
- MSN
It seems that people are finding cool things to do in AJAX everyday.

These guys got US$3.5m financing for this. I don’t know how they are going to monetize something that relies on other IM services. Ads?
I think that the industry is currently in an optimistic mood. AJAX is pretty hyped up and everybody is out looking for a killer idea. It may not be so much about monetizing the idea and building a business model around it. It could be that they are trying to become attractive to Yahoo or Google. The dream is to be bought out by the big boys and retire on a tropical island :D
It’s interesting that Joel Spolsky has a similar theory on the proliferation of AJAX appications (calendars in this case).
Sweet :)
